In-depth discussion of PECUNIA concept paper at the 1st Progress Meeting in Maastricht

Following the EuHEA conference, the PECUNIA consortium came together for its 1st Progress Meeting on July 14-15, 2018. The meeting was dedicated to discussing the concept paper, which was drafted in the first six month of the project and is going to be jointly published in the next few months. Once again, it became clear how valuable the personal exchange is in order to clarify responsibilities, exchange information and tackle the challenges of such an interrelated project. The intense discussions were continued during the joint consortium dinner in the heart of Maastricht.

The second meeting day started with presentations from the work packages and the planning of upcoming action points and timeline. One important milestone will be a satellite workshop in July 2019, where the consortium is looking forward to present and discuss the interim results with a wide range of stakeholders from different fields and countries. The event is expected to have a valuable impact on the project outcome, as the stakeholders’ feedback will be directly incorporated in the further research. The progress meeting was completed by a presentation of the Data Management Plan, submitted to the European Commission in June 2018, and PECUNIA communication measures implemented during the first six month of the project. These include the project website, Twitter and ResearchGate accounts, as well as the PECUNIA leaflet which was first introduced at EuHEA. The release of the first newsletter is planned for autumn 2018.
