Tools

The PECUNIA project developed a suite of five tools applicable for health economic evaluations — three for costing and two for outcomes — drawing on harmonized methods. The PECUNIA Tools are available after registration.

Costing tools

  • The PECUNIA RUM Instrument v1 is a self-report questionnaire that collects resource use data from participants in healthcare studies for costing from a societal perspective.
  • The PECUNIA RUC Templates are calculators to develop comparable reference unit costs for costing in economic evaluations.
  • The PECUNIA RUC Compendium is a database of existing comparable reference unit costs and their meta-information across multiple sectors and countries to be used for costing in economic evaluations.

Outcomes tools

  • The PECUNIA PROM-MH Compendium is a comprehensive database of non-disease specific patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) and their meta-information used in mental health (economic) evaluations.
  • The PECUNIA Pan-European and Supra-National EQ-5D value sets can be used for the measurement of health-related quality of life in countries that do not have their own EQ-5D value set, or for harmonized multi-national (economic) evaluations in Europe.
